Hope is a sweet two year old lab mix who came to us from a shelter where she was very scared. She is a little girl at only 30 pounds!
She can be timid at first and a bit scared of loud or fast movements, so a little bit of a quieter house will be best to help her come out of her shell. She is definitely a skittish girl and gets scared by noises and new things. She also appears to be fearful of men . It will take time for this to happen so a patient family is a must! After a few months, she is coming out of her shell nicely in her foster home.
She is super sweet! She is good in a crate and does well with other dogs of all sizes. Because she can be a little timid, a fenced in yard and a home with older children or no children will be best for her. She will do best in a home with another dog to help give her some confidence and show her the ropes.
Adoption fee is $300 + tax (no checks)

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.
Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
