Sierra is a two year old chihuahua mix who was originally found as a stray and never claimed. Now she is looking for a forever home she can call her own, where she won't end up running loose again.
Sierra has longer fur and will need some regular brushings to keep tangles and matts away. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle. She can be a bit shy at first like most chihuahuas are, but warms up to you and then loves you to pieces. She would prefer to be the only dog, or be around calmer, older dogs.
Sierra is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative and on preventatives. She is also microchipped and dewormed.
Adoption fee is $300 + tax (no checks) The adoption fee will be reduced by $100 through June 1st in honor of National Rescue Dog Day!

Sierra will be at our adoption event at the Woodbury PetSmart on Saturday from 11-3pm looking for a home.
Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.
Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
