Will is a one year old wire haired terrier/chihuahua mix who weighs around 9-10 pounds. He was originally found as a stray and was heartworm positive. He has received his treatment, and it's super important that his adoptive family keeps him on heartworm preventative every month, all year long. He will also need a heartworm test done nine months after his treatment was completed. Otherwise he is a regular wonderful little guy and wants to find his home.

He is good with people and good with other dogs. He loves to cuddle and be with his people. He would love to be able to sleep with his people at night. He will do best with kids 8 and up who are used to being around small dogs.
He will need a house training refresher when moving to a new house and a new routine. The transition turns their world upside down and it takes a few days for them to start to figure out all of the changes that have happened to them.

This boy will make a wonderful addition to a family!

Will will be able to go home around the second week of May.

Adoption fee is $350.00 + tax (no checks)

This dog will not be at our adoption event so please contact the foster to learn more about him.

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
