Elvira is estimated to be a two year old black lab mix who was found as a stray and never claimed. She has a wonderful personality and is going to make a great addition to a family!

Elvira is a shorter lab, but weighs around 50 pounds and could use a little bit of a diet to shed a few pounds. She is good with other dogs of all sizes and likes to play with them too. She is good with people and so far is doing really well on her housetraining in her foster home, but all dogs will need a refresher when moving to a new house and routine. She hasn't been around cats that we are aware of. She makes a little bit of noise in her kennel at first, but she does well overall when her foster is gone. She's a wonderful girl!

She is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and on preventatives and has been dewormed.

Adoption fee is $350.00 + tax (no checks)

Please email adopt@newleashrescue.com for more information.

This dog will be at our adoption event at the Woodbury PetSmart on Saturday from 11-2 looking for a home!

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
