Wirehaired Terrier Terrier

If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to newleashrescue2018@gmail.com

Meet Cleo! This sweet girl was originally an unclaimed stray, and then she was found to be pregnant. This amazing momma took care of TEN puppies, and now she has earned some well-deserved rest and relaxation, and the opportunity to find a home to call her own.

Cleo is around 2 years old and weighs 20 pounds. We are estimating her to be a wire haired terrier mix. She has a lot of coloring like a Shih Zhu or Lhasa, but definitely has the coarser fur coat. Cleo loves people and is good with other dogs too. She has a little anxiety when people are leaving her, but ask her foster mom and she can tell you all about it. Cleo is doing well on housetraining, but will need a refresher course when moving to a new house and a new routine. Cleo hasn't been exposed to cats at this time, that we are aware of.

This girl is great!!

An approved application will be needed prior to any meet and greets.

Adoption fee is $400 + tax (no checks)

Foster to contact: Dawn - dresemius1@msn.com or 651-485-2536

This dog will not be at our adoption event at the Woodbury PetSmart on Saturday from 11-2 looking for a home, so contact her foster to learn more!

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
